Lifting Equipment Inspection
Any lifting machine, driven by manual or mechanical power that is able to raise, lower or suspend loads, and includes the supporting structure and all plant, equipment and gear used in connection with such a machine, but excludes continuous mechanical handling devices (i.e. conveyors), such as but not limited to: –
- Cranes (tower, mobile, overhead cranes, Pipe layer crane, pedestal cranes loader crane etc),
- Self-Loading Arms (HIAB), A Frame, Derricks
- Hoists (Air, Electric and Hydraulic), Jacks , Fixed Lifting Beams, Monorails
- Pad Eyes
- Runway Beams, Monorails, All Pad Eyes, Gin Poles and Gin Wheels,
- Winches, Hoists (Hydraulic, Air and Electric), Crabs, Telfer Hoists, Sheave Hoists
- Chain Blocks, Lever Block, Wire Rope Pulling Machines, Pull Lifts, Beam Trolleys,
- Mobile Elevating Working Platforms (MEWP),
- Elevators and Escalators,
- Industrial lift trucks such as Forklifts, Self-Loader and Side Booms,
- Lifting Jacks (pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical ‘screw’).
WHY DIV
Inspection Requirements for lifting equipment a thorough examination not limited to the following should be conducted:
- Visual examination;
- Dimensional examination;
- Functional or operational test;
- Open-up examination;
- Electrical test and examination; and
- Non-destructive test.
LE Thorough Examination
Periodic inspection & Four yearly Proof Load Test on all cranes and lifting equipment, this includes but is not limited to drilling equipment & tools, pedestal and overhead cranes, ROV/Dive spreads, fixed lifting equipment, lifeboats and life raft launch and recovery systems and loose lifting equipment as per clients requirements.
Our engineers & inspectors are trained to the highest standard through both internal and external training and undergo regular competency assessment to ensure they are up date with all the relevant procedures and standards.
DIV provide multi skilled teams of inspector engineers who have the competence to carry out various Inspection work scopes, this provides the client with a one stop solution and minimizes any downtime.
